001_Sustainability [Closed]

Sustainability, today, generally refers to the development of various models that allow both the human race and planet Earth to survive. These models are capable of meeting the ever-growing and challenging needs of today without compromising the well-being of future generations. The Earth Charter developed in 2000 broadens the scope of sustainable practices to include a global society “founded on respect for nature, universal human rights, economic justice, and a culture of peace.” These goals can only be achieved through reevaluating our positions on environmental protection, social responsibility, and economic practice. Using your own knowledge and experience with the topic, we would like to hear your perspective on a particular focus of sustainability.

OPEN Challenge:

  1. Take one un-edited, original photo that represents what SUSTAINABILITY means to you.

  2. Provide a brief description (130 characters) to elaborate on your definition of the concept of SUSTAINABILITY.

  3. Indicate keywords (similar to hashtags) that relate to the themes in your photo.

  4. Submissions will be sent to another participant for feedback on the photo and impact of its text description. (Provide email)

Challenge Deadline: January 27th, 2019 @ 6:00 PM EST
